It is important you Please read this through!
Stillpoint Community Acupuncture cares about you and we want to keep you healthy while providing you with the treatments you need! These policies will remain in place until further notice and are in line with guidelines from WorkSafeBC, the BC CDC and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Do you have any questions for us? Just ask. We are happy to discuss these measures in depth with you.
What WE are doing as staff and volunteers to keep all of us safe:
- We will be washing or sanitizing our hands… constantly.
- If we are sick, we won’t be here. We will be isolating. Anyone who has traveled out of the country will also be required to quarantine.
- We have always been a pretty hygienic bunch, but we all will be exceptionally mindful when it comes to our hygiene. No face touching!
- We are channeling our inner superheroes! All practitioners are masking up.
- The reception area is now behind a plexiglass barrier and our payment system is going touchless including prepayments being accepted online.
We are upping our cleaning game.
All surfaces will be disinfected after contact and we will no longer be using linens on our chairs or massage tables. Hepa filters are installed, and ozone will be used each night to further sterilize our treatment rooms.
We love our Stillpoint family, but there will be no hugs for the foreseeable future!
Social distancing practices will be employed between staff, volunteers and patients. We will only get near you when we have to. We have also dramatically reduced the number of chairs in our treatment room to ensure space between patients. We will also offer private sessions for those who do not want to be treated in a community setting. You will also notice fewer staff in the clinic.
Patient COVID-Safe Arrival Procedures
Welcome back to your happy place! The following procedures are designed to keep everyone healthy and safe.
Firstly, do not come to the clinic if you have cold or flu-type symptoms, specifically:
- Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, must self-isolate at home for a minimum of 10 days
- Anyone under the direction of the provincial health officer to self-isolate must follow those instructions
- Anyone who has arrived from outside of Canada, or who is in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, must self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms
- If you have been sick, please wait until 10 days from the onset of symptoms AND until symptoms resolve before coming in for treatment (from BC CDC)
- Please arrive right on time for your appointment. If you are early, please wait outside and enter on time. If you are late, please call and we will advise if we can accommodate you.
- Only patients with pre-booked appointments will be allowed in the clinic. No one is to accompany the patient unless they are a required parent/guardian/caregiver. Once the patient has been seated in the treatment room, the parent/guardian/caregiver must wait outside until the patient is ready to leave. No unexpected visitors.
- Wear a mask upon entry to the clinic. We have fabric masks available for purchase.
- Sanitize/wash your hands upon entry to the clinic.
Please pay online or by using the tap function at our POS. - Consultations with the acupuncturist will take place either in the reception area, or private room, to provide for physical distancing. Once in the community treatment room, speaking must be kept to a minimum.
- We encourage you to bring your own blankets, heating pads and water, as we will no longer provide them to keep you safe.
